Thanks to the women’s rights movement and feminism that were largely successful in recent decades, women have gradually gained equal status with men. While some forms of discrimination and abuse persist in the present day, it is good that women are now given rights and privileges that they barely dreamt of fifty years ago.
However, if there is anything as bad as, or even worse than, misogyny, it is misandry, essentially hatred against men. If the purpose of feminism is equality, women ought to be fighting for their own rights as well as those of the opposite sex. As mothers and fathers are supposed to be partners in raising their families, it should be the same with men and women in making the world a better place.
To an extent, misandry in feminism is an understandable backlash against overlooked abuse against women in centuries prior. However, women must also learn that continually blaming males for their suffering amounts to nothing except aggravating gender conflicts. In the world of political correctness, there is no room for discrimination against either sex.
Women are now allowed in the military, extreme sports, and government office. A woman can now freely express herself without the fear of alienation when driving a
jeep edmonton to work or to a party. Although some cultures adhere to some level of conservativeness, what matters is that women must know what they are worth and that men, as designated partners, are worth no more nor less than they.
Biases regarding either sex may not quite be completely resolved yet, as narrative trends in pop culture would demonstrate; sexist jokes persist in circulation, whether intentional or not. In the search for equality, political correctness is continually being sought for in various communication media to correct this. A woman who rides a
jeep edmonton with a group of men should not be automatically labeled with any stereotype; she might simply be friends with them. In a similar light, a man who experiences some form of abuse from a woman should not be subject to ridicule.
There is room for both men and women in this world. It is time that mutual respect and understanding arise between the two. Images of either a man or a woman excitedly driving a
jeep edmonton might instigate stereotypes, but that does not hinder either from the truth that each has value.
